The inception of Venue.sh traces back to a pivotal moment in 2022 when co-founder and GM of Venue.sh, Mike Maheu, was working at Adaptavist—our sister brand. During that time, he and his team in professional services repeatedly encountered companies grappling with DevOps challenges and struggling to deliver value efficiently to their customers. These challenges often led to a cycle of rebuilding deployment processes, rethinking automation strategies, and navigating the complexities of cloud integration.

Motivated by these recurring issues, they embarked on a mission to create a solution that addresses these pain points. From within Adaptavist, they conceptualised a DevOps as a Service (DaaS) platform—a white glove delivery solution that could be customised to meet diverse needs. The goal was to distil our years of experience and expertise into ready-to-serve solutions, accessible at the click of a button.

Venue.sh launched in February 2024, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Our debut at an Atlassian event allowed us to showcase our platform's capabilities, and since then, we have continued to refine the experience, helping businesses streamline their DevOps delivery and achieve greater efficiency.

Venue.sh is designed to tackle the frustrations prevalent in the DevOps domain. By streamlining the development process, our platform manages tooling, facilitates team onboarding to specific toolchains, and provides timely updates on new tool versions and developer dependencies. The introduction of one-click pull requests further simplifies the process by automatically updating code with curated changes from upstream sources.
